It means the appliance has detected a cooking time input that exceeds the maximum value allowed by the control board. A reset by powering the unit off at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds can clear a temporary E-02 error caused by a one-time input issue. However, if the underlying cause is a faulty keypad, damaged membrane, or failing control board, the error will return. A reset is a useful first step but is not a long-term fix if a component is defective.
