Samsung Range Error Code Low Voltage

The Low Voltage error means the internal DC 12V power supply line has dropped below 9V. This voltage is generated by the Switch Mode Power Supply on the main control board and powers both the main PCB and the touch control PCB. The fault is triggered to prevent the electronics from operating under unsafe power conditions. The cause is typically a shorted or open SMPS line, or a wiring issue between the two PCB assemblies.

You should avoid using the range while this error is active. A voltage fault indicates an abnormal condition within the control electronics, and continued operation could lead to further component damage. The range controls may also behave unpredictably when the power supply voltage is out of specification. Discontinue use and have the unit inspected before cooking again.

Repair costs depend on what component is faulty. If only the sub wire needs to be reseated or replaced, costs are relatively low, typically in the range of $50 to $150 for a service call. If the main PCB or touch PCB assembly requires replacement, parts and labor combined can range from $200 to $500 or more depending on the specific model and local labor rates.

Some causes, such as a loose or disconnected sub wire between the main PCB and touch PCB, can be addressed by a knowledgeable DIYer comfortable working with appliance electronics.
