A power reset is the recommended first diagnostic step and can clear the code if the cause was a temporary overtemperature event rather than a hardware failure. However, if the inverter PBA or another component has a permanent fault, the error will return after the reset and the compressor will remain non-functional. In that case, board inspection and replacement are necessary.
