The main PCB monitors a voltage signal between connector pins CN40-16 and CN40-18, and a reading of 0V to 4.5V triggers this error. The autofill function is typically suspended until the condition is resolved.

An active water overflow inside the refrigerator can damage flooring, cabinetry, or internal components if left unaddressed. The refrigerator's autofill system is designed to detect this and stop dispensing water, which limits further spillage. However, you should promptly inspect the infuser area and clean up any standing water to avoid mold or water damage. If the overflow is ongoing, turn off the water supply to the refrigerator until the issue is repaired.

A power reset may temporarily clear the error code from the display, but it will return if the underlying cause has not been fixed. If there is actual overflow water present or a faulty valve, sensor, or wiring, the sensor will continue to report the overflow condition and the code will reappear. The error should be properly diagnosed and repaired rather than relying on a reset as a solution.
