This error can disrupt the automatic defrost cycle and may lead to frost buildup on the evaporator coil if not addressed.

Short-term use is possible, but it carries risk. With the defrost sensor failing, the automatic defrost cycle may not operate correctly, which can allow frost to accumulate on the evaporator coil.
