A power reset by unplugging the refrigerator and plugging it back in is part of the recommended repair process, but it will not permanently clear the error if the underlying hardware fault still exists. The error will return as soon as the control board re-checks the heater circuit and detects the open condition. The physical cause, such as a failed heater or broken connection, must be repaired first.
