LV stands for low voltage. When this happens, the compressor shuts down to prevent damage. The fault can be caused by a problem with your home's power supply or by a fault on the control board itself.

A power reset may temporarily clear the LV code, but the error will return if the underlying cause has not been addressed. If the supply voltage is consistently low or the PCB has a defective solder joint or failed component, the fault will reappear as soon as the compressor attempts to start. Always diagnose and correct the root cause before relying on a reset.

If the problem is your home's electrical supply or a loose outlet, costs may be limited to an electrician's service call, typically in the range of $75 to $200 depending on your location. If the inverter PCB requires replacement, parts and labor together generally range from $150 to $400 or more depending on the specific model and the repair provider.
