The cause is typically a disconnected connector, a broken wire, or a failed sensor. The fresh food compartment may not cool properly while this fault is active.

If the compartment is warming above 40°F (4°C), perishable food is at risk and the refrigerator should not be relied upon until the fault is repaired.
