Evap T Short means the evaporator thermistor circuit has detected a short condition. The evaporator thermistor is a temperature sensor located near the evaporator coil, and it communicates temperature data to the main control board. A short in this circuit prevents accurate temperature readings and triggers the fault code. The issue is typically found in the thermistor cable or the wire harness connecting it to the board.
