In many cases the OFF code requires no parts replacement and no significant repair cost, since it often results from a configuration setting or a resettable fault. If the issue involves a failed payment device or a faulty lid switch component that cannot be resolved through diagnostics, parts and labor costs could range from around 50 to 200 dollars or more depending on the specific component and service rates in your area.

The fix depends on the cause. For a lid switch fault, enter Access Mode, press keypad 2 for the Service Routine, wait for the LP display, then press hidden keypad 6 twice within 10 seconds to reset. For other causes, check whether the machine was manually set to out-of-service, verify the price setting is not 100.01, and confirm a payment device is enabled.

One of the triggers for the OFF code is a lid switch safety fault, which occurs when the lid is not opened between cycles.
