Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power and replace control. Inspect diverter motor and connections for overheating/shorting. If evidence of overheating/shorting exists, replace.

From Tech Sheet W17991044, p.16:
1.Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power and replace control. Inspect diverter motor and connections for overheating/shorting. If evidence of overheating/shorting exists, replace.
2.Measure the drive motor winding resistance at the main control connector. Expected: 2 to 6 ohms between winding pairs.
3.Rotate the drum by hand and check for free rotation. Inspect the belt and pulley for glaze or wear; a slipping belt mimics a motor fault under load.
