The control board monitors how long it takes for the water level sensor to confirm a fill, and if that confirmation never arrives, A09 is stored. The fault can originate in the water supply, the inlet valve, the pressure switch, or the drain system.

You should not continue running wash cycles while A09 is active. The washer is not filling correctly, which means clothes will not be washed properly and the machine may behave unpredictably. Running cycles in a fault state can also stress other components such as the pump motor. Diagnose and resolve the underlying cause before resuming normal use.

Repair costs vary widely depending on the cause. If the fix is simply opening a supply valve or cleaning inlet screens, there is no parts cost at all. Resetting is useful for confirming whether the fault is intermittent, such as a one-time pressure drop in the water supply, but it is not a repair.
