The OVERFLOW CONDITION error means the pressure switch detected water at or above the overflow threshold inside the tub for more than 60 seconds. As a safety response, the washer locks the door and runs the drain pump continuously to remove the water. The error points to an overfill event caused by a drainage problem, a stuck water inlet valve, or a faulty pressure switch.

You should not run another wash cycle until the cause is identified and corrected. A continuously running water inlet valve or a blocked drain can lead to water leaking onto the floor and causing property damage. The door lock and drain pump activation are protective features, but they do not eliminate the underlying risk of ongoing overfilling.

Repair costs vary depending on the failed component. Clearing a clogged drain hose costs little or nothing if done yourself. Replacing a water inlet valve typically runs between $25 and $80 for the part, while a new pressure switch generally costs between $15 and $60. Start by checking the drain hose for kinks or clogs and clear any blockages you find. Once the tub has drained and the door unlocks, inspect the water inlet valve to confirm it closes fully when not in use. A reset may temporarily clear the error code, but the condition will return if the underlying cause is not repaired. The pressure switch will close the overflow contact again as soon as water rises to that level for more than 60 seconds.
