E7 on an Asko washer means the motor direction system has detected a conflict. The Hall IC sensor, which monitors the rotational direction of the motor, is sending a signal that does not match what the control board expects based on the direction it commanded the motor to spin. This typically points to a wiring fault, a bad sensor connection, or a failed Hall IC sensor.

It is not recommended to continue running the washer while E7 is active. The error indicates the motor direction control system is not functioning correctly, and continuing to operate the machine could cause additional wear or damage to the motor or drum components. Stop using the washer and address the fault before resuming normal use.

A reset may temporarily clear the E7 code, but if the underlying fault, such as a bad sensor connection or damaged wiring, is still present, the error will return as soon as the washer attempts to run the motor again. A reset is not a repair. The root cause needs to be identified and corrected to permanently resolve the fault.
