The dishwasher's control system detected that the drain pump could not fully evacuate the water, and the program was stopped as a result. The most common cause is dirty or clogged filters, though drain hose obstructions, a faulty non-return valve, or a failed pump motor can also trigger this code.

Resetting the dishwasher may temporarily clear the error code display, but it will not resolve the underlying problem. If the root cause, such as a clogged filter, blocked hose, or faulty pump, is not corrected, the E:6002 code will return the next time the dishwasher attempts to drain. A reset is only useful after the actual fault has been diagnosed and repaired.

Repair costs depend entirely on the cause of the fault. Cleaning the filters and clearing a blocked drain hose costs nothing beyond your time. Replacing a faulty non-return valve is generally a low-cost repair, typically in the range of $10 to $40 for the part. If those steps do not resolve the fault, the drain pump motor windings should be tested with a multimeter and the wiring connections at the pump should be inspected.

You should not continue running the dishwasher while E:6002 is active. The fault indicates standing water in the sump that cannot be drained, which can lead to odors, mold growth, and potential overflow if the issue worsens. The dishwasher ends the program automatically when this fault is detected, so normal operation is not possible until the drain system issue is resolved.
