E062 indicates that the temperature sensor for the left rear induction zone has detected an overtemperature condition. The cooktop's control board monitors each inductor using a dedicated thermistor, and when that sensor's reading exceeds the safe operating threshold, the unit triggers this code and disables the affected zone or the whole cooktop. This is a protective fault designed to prevent damage to the power electronics and coil assembly.

You should not continue using the cooktop while E062 is active. The error indicates a real or detected overtemperature condition, and the cooktop may have already shut down the affected zone as a safety measure. Continuing to operate the unit without resolving the root cause risks damage to the inductor coil, IGBT components, or the control board.

Repair costs vary depending on the root cause. If only cleaning vents or adjusting installation clearances is needed, there may be no parts cost at all. A replacement cooling fan typically runs in the range of $30 to $80 for the part, while a new temperature sensor is generally $15 to $50.
