Error code 11 on an Electrolux washer indicates that the machine took longer than the expected time limit to fill with water to the required level. The control board monitors the time elapsed from when the inlet valve opens to when the pressure sensor confirms the tub has reached the target water level. If that threshold is exceeded, the cycle is halted and error code 11 is triggered. This is a protective function that prevents the machine from running indefinitely while trying to fill.

The primary systems involved are the water supply line, the inlet valve assembly, and the water pressure at the connection point. The control board requires a minimum incoming water pressure of 20 psi to open the inlet valve solenoids effectively and fill the tub within the allotted time. Low household water pressure, partially closed supply faucets, or kinked fill hoses can all reduce flow rate enough to cause a fill timeout. The inlet valve screens can also become clogged with sediment or mineral deposits over time, further restricting water flow even when supply pressure is adequate.

Diagnostic procedure should begin with confirming both hot and cold supply faucets behind the machine are fully open, then checking that fill hoses are not kinked or damaged. Water pressure at the connection point should be measured and confirmed above 20 psi. If pressure and supply are adequate, the inlet valve assembly itself should be inspected, including the mesh screens at each inlet port and the solenoid coils, which can fail electrically and prevent the valve from opening fully.
