CLg on a GE dryer means the appliance has detected a blockage or restriction in the exhaust duct or vent system. The dryer monitors airflow and temperature conditions during operation and triggers this code when those readings fall outside acceptable limits. The dryer will continue to operate, but the code will appear more frequently as the vent condition worsens. The root cause must be addressed to clear it.

The dryer will continue to run when CLg appears, but continuing to use it with a restricted vent is not advisable. A blocked exhaust duct causes heat to build up inside the appliance, which increases drying times, reduces efficiency, and raises the risk of a thermal event over time. Addressing the vent restriction promptly is strongly recommended.
