Error code 32 on a GE washer indicates an Out of Balance Fallback condition during the final spin. The washer detected that the laundry load was too unevenly distributed to safely reach full spin speed, so the control board completed the cycle at a reduced spin speed instead. This results in wetter-than-normal clothes at the end of the cycle. If the code appears repeatedly, there may be a mechanical issue with the suspension, balance ring, or drive system.

Resetting the washer may clear the stored error code temporarily, but it will not fix the underlying cause if a mechanical or loading problem exists. The OOB fallback condition will return if the same uneven spin situation occurs again. It is better to perform the recommended Drain and Spin diagnostic test first to confirm whether the basket reaches full terminal spin speed before assuming a reset has resolved the issue.
