Error code 363 indicates an Air Outlet Temperature Sensor Fault, identified as NTC 4. The heat pump system's air outlet thermistor is reporting a resistance value outside the expected range. This causes the control board to flag the fault to prevent potential damage to the heat pump components. The issue typically originates with the sensor itself, its wiring, or the connector.

It is not recommended to continue running the washer with code 363 active. The air outlet temperature sensor is part of the heat pump system's safety monitoring circuit, and operating without accurate temperature data could allow the system to run outside safe thermal limits. It is best to resolve the fault before resuming normal wash cycles.

A power reset may temporarily clear the error code display, but the code will return if the underlying fault is still present. Because the fault is triggered by an out-of-range sensor reading, the control board will detect the problem again as soon as it checks the thermistor during the next cycle. A reset is useful for confirming whether the fault is intermittent, but it is not a repair solution.

Start by running Service Mode test 15, the Heat Pump System Test, to read live values from the NTC 4 thermistor. If the reading is out of range, inspect the wiring harness and connector for corrosion or damage and reseat all connections. If the wiring checks out, measure the thermistor's resistance directly at a known room temperature. A thermistor that reads open, shorted, or far outside the expected resistance range will need to be replaced.

Repair costs depend on the failed component. An NTC thermistor sensor is generally an inexpensive part, with DIY repair costs typically in the range of $15 to $50 for the sensor alone. If a technician is needed, labor will add to that cost, typically bringing the total to $100 to $200 depending on your area.
