E70 means the washer control board detected a continuous key press signal from the control panel lasting 60 seconds or more. This is treated as a fault because no intentional button press should last that long. The cause is usually something physically stuck under a button or an internal failure in the keypad membrane. The washer stops operation and displays the code to alert you to the issue.

Start by unplugging the washer for 30 seconds, then power it back on. If the code returns, separate the control panel from its housing and the front panel, then clean out any debris and verify every button moves freely without sticking. Use the built-in t04 test mode to check each key individually. If the code persists after cleaning, the control panel assembly will need to be replaced.
