The washer will not complete a wash cycle while this error is active, so continuing to run it in this condition is not productive and could stress the motor or pump components if the machine attempts to agitate or drain with an empty or near-empty tub. It is best to resolve the fill issue before resuming normal use.

If the fix is as simple as cleaning clogged inlet screens or fully opening a shutoff valve, the repair costs nothing beyond your time.
