The printer will not pull jobs from Tray 2 until the condition is resolved. Loading paper into Tray 2 will clear the error in most cases.

A power cycle or reset alone will not clear H1-1252 if the root cause has not been addressed. The printer will continue to detect an empty tray condition until paper is loaded or the faulty Actuator-Paper Empty is replaced. Once the physical cause is resolved, the error should clear on its own without a manual reset.

If loading paper resolves the error, there is no parts cost involved. If the Actuator-Paper Empty needs to be replaced, the part itself is typically an inexpensive component, often in the range of a few dollars to around twenty dollars depending on availability.
