This error means the refrigerator's control board has detected an open or abnormal signal from the sensor that monitors water supply to the sparkling water tank. The fault can stem from a disconnected wire, a separated sensor housing, a contact failure at a connector, or a short circuit. The board checks voltage at connector CN31 on the PCB, and a reading below 4.5V at pins 1 and 2 confirms a circuit problem. Normal refrigeration and ice functions are typically not affected by this error.

The error specifically affects the sparkling water system and does not typically interfere with the refrigerator's cooling, freezing, or standard water dispensing functions. You can generally continue using the appliance for food storage and regular dispensing while the fault is present. However, the sparkling water feature should not be used until the underlying sensor or wiring issue is resolved, as the control system cannot properly monitor water flow to the carbonation tank.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. If the fix is simply reseating a connector or repositioning the sensor housing, there may be no parts cost at all, though a service call fee typically ranges from $75 to $150.
