Enter diagnostic mode and verify sensor temperature reads ambient (typically 50-90°F / 10-32.2°C). Disconnect power, inspect sensor connections and wiring, measure sensor resistance (should be 1000-1200 ohms at room temperature), check for short circuit between sensor connector and shield. Replace sensor or wiring as needed.

Oven sensor open circuit, oven sensor short
From Tech Sheet W16599797, p.49:
1.Enter diagnostic mode and verify sensor temperature reads ambient (typically 50-90°F / 10-32.2°C). Disconnect power, inspect sensor connections and wiring, measure sensor resistance (should be 1000-1200 ohms at room temperature), check for short circuit between sensor connector and shield. Replace sensor or wiring as needed.
2.Measure line voltage at the power cord terminal block. Expected: 120 VAC (L1 to neutral) or 208 to 240 VAC between L1 and L2 under load.
3.Inspect the cord strain relief and terminal block screws for signs of arcing or heat discoloration. Loose connections here mimic an intermittent power failure to the control board.
