Start by disconnecting power to the washer and measuring the resistance of the heater element and all components and connections in the Water Heating Circuit and Heat Dry Circuit. A burned-out element will show an open circuit and will need to be replaced. If the element tests good, check every wiring connection and the neutral door switch for continuity. If all components test correctly, the main control board's heater drive circuit may be at fault.

An open heater circuit means the heater is simply not operating, rather than overheating, so there is no immediate safety hazard from the fault itself. The washer will continue to run cycles, but any cycle that depends on water heating or heated drying will not work as intended.
