Error code 03-05 means the control board is not detecting the Motor Door Lock, which is the motorized mechanism that locks the oven door during self-cleaning. Standard baking and cooking functions are generally not affected by this fault since the MDL is specifically tied to the self-clean cycle. However, you should avoid attempting a self-clean cycle while the error is present, as the door lock system is not functioning properly. Confirm the oven is operating normally in other modes before continued use.

A power reset by unplugging the range or cycling the circuit breaker may temporarily clear the fault display, but the code will return if the underlying problem is not repaired. The control board will continue to check for the MDL signal each time the unit is powered on or a self-clean cycle is initiated. A reset alone is not a fix for this error.
