Error code 01 on a Crosley washer means the machine detected a no-drain condition during the final spin cycle. Specifically, the water level did not drop below the low water level threshold within the expected time. The washer stops to prevent spinning with water still in the tub, which could cause damage or create a safety hazard.

Resetting the washer by unplugging it for a minute or two may temporarily clear the error code, but if the underlying drain issue has not been resolved, code 01 will return as soon as the next cycle reaches the final spin. A reset is useful for confirming the problem is consistent, but it is not a fix on its own.

Repair costs depend on the root cause. Clearing a clogged pump filter or hose is typically a no-cost fix you can handle yourself. Replacing a drain pump generally runs anywhere from $75 to $200 in parts and labor, depending on your location and the service provider.
