Error code 03 on a Crosley washer means the machine attempted a continuous fill for 12 minutes without the water level sensor detecting that the tub reached the required level. The control board then shuts down the fill cycle and stores the fault to prevent flooding or component damage. This points to a problem with water supply, the inlet valve, or the water level sensing system.

It is not recommended to continue running the washer with code 03 active. The fault indicates the machine was unable to fill properly, and continued attempts could leave laundry unwashed or, if the underlying issue is a stuck-open valve combined with a faulty pressure switch, could risk an overflow situation. Diagnose the cause before running another cycle.

Repair costs vary depending on the root cause. Cleaning clogged inlet valve screens costs nothing beyond your time. Replacing a water inlet valve typically runs between $25 and $75 for the part, plus labor if you hire a technician. A new pressure switch generally costs between $15 and $50 for the part. Resetting the washer by unplugging it for a minute may clear the code temporarily, but if the underlying cause is not corrected the code will return as soon as the machine attempts to fill again. A reset is useful for confirming whether the fault was a one-time anomaly, such as a briefly closed water valve, but it is not a repair on its own.
