Electrolux Oven Error Code SF

SF stands for Sabbath mode failure on an Electrolux oven. It appears on all control panels when the oven loses power while Sabbath mode is running. The error signals that the Sabbath mode session was interrupted and the oven will not operate until the mode is cancelled. It does not indicate a broken component in most cases.

A simple power reset by cycling the breaker will not clear the SF error on its own, as the code requires an intentional cancellation of Sabbath mode through the control panel. You must press lo minus and hi plus simultaneously for 3 seconds to cancel the mode and dismiss the error. Restoring power alone will not resolve the lockout.

In most cases, fixing the SF error costs nothing because it only requires cancelling Sabbath mode through the control panel. If the error persists after the cancellation procedure and the electronic control board needs to be replaced, repair costs typically range from around 150 dollars to 400 dollars or more depending on the specific model and labor rates in your area.

To clear the SF error, press and hold the lo minus and hi plus buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. This cancels Sabbath mode and should allow the oven to return to normal operation. If the error does not clear after this step, the electronic control board may need to be inspected or replaced.

The oven will not operate while SF is displayed, so there is no immediate safety risk from the error itself. The control board intentionally prevents operation until Sabbath mode is cancelled.
