The washer's electronic control board continuously monitors incoming AC mains voltage to ensure stable operation. When that voltage drops too low, the board triggers EB3 to prevent damage to sensitive components and to alert the user that conditions are not suitable for safe operation.

The root cause is typically found in one of two places: the external power supply or the control board itself. On the external side, low household voltage can result from a utility grid issue, an overloaded circuit, a failing wall outlet, or a deteriorated extension cord reducing effective voltage to the appliance. The washer requires a stable, properly grounded dedicated circuit, and any significant voltage sag can trigger this fault. Loose wiring connections at the outlet, junction box, or the terminal block inside the machine can also cause intermittent or sustained low-voltage readings.
