The machine stops operation to prevent unsafe behavior when the two systems are not coordinating correctly. Start by switching the washer off at the wall for at least 5 seconds and then restoring power. If the fault persists, disable the auto restart feature and retest so that any new fault code can surface and guide further diagnosis. From there, inspect the wiring harness connections between the Display Module and Motor Controller for loose or corroded terminals. If wiring checks out, one of the two control boards may need to be replaced.

If the fault is resolved by a simple power reset, there is no parts cost involved. If a wiring harness repair is needed, costs are typically in the range of a basic service call fee plus labor. Replacing a Display Module or Motor Controller board generally costs more, with parts and labor combined often ranging from around $150 to $400 or more depending on parts availability and local labor rates.

A power reset resolves error code 19 in many cases, particularly when the fault was triggered by a temporary power disruption.
