F90 on a Frigidaire self-cleaning oven means the electronic oven control has detected a fault in the motorized door lock system. The control monitors the door lock motor and its position switches during self-clean cycles, and triggers F90 when it does not receive confirmation that the latch moved correctly. This code applies to Model B self-clean configurations.

You should not attempt to run a self-clean cycle while F90 is active, as the door lock system is not functioning correctly and the oven cannot safely secure the door at self-clean temperatures. Normal baking and broiling functions may still work, but the safest course is to clear the fault first and confirm the oven operates normally before using it again.

Repair costs depend on which component has failed. A door lock motor or lock assembly replacement typically ranges from around $80 to $200 in parts, plus labor if a technician is involved. Wiring repairs tend to be on the lower end of that range, while an electronic control board replacement can push costs higher. Getting a diagnostic estimate from an authorized servicer before committing to repairs is advisable.

The first step you can do yourself is to press the CLEAR OFF pad to silence the beeping and clear the display, then try reprogramming the oven. If the F90 code does not return, no further action may be needed. If it comes back, the door lock motor, position switches, or wiring require hands-on inspection, and contacting an authorized servicer is recommended at that point.

Pressing the CLEAR OFF pad will clear the F90 display and stop the beeping immediately. If the fault was caused by a temporary glitch, reprogramming the oven after clearing it may resolve the issue entirely. However, if a mechanical or electrical failure exists in the door lock system, the F90 code will return the next time the lock circuit is activated.
