The Filling Timeout error means the washer started a fill cycle but the control board did not receive confirmation from the pressure switch that the water level was rising within 3 minutes. The pressure switch monitors tub water level through a hose and air dome system. When that signal never changes, the control stops the cycle and sets the error. The cause can be a water supply problem, a failed inlet valve, a faulty pressure switch, or a siphoning issue.

You should not continue running the washer until the cause is identified. The machine has stopped the fill cycle as a protective measure, and attempting to force it through a cycle without adequate water can stress components or result in an incomplete wash. Diagnose and resolve the underlying cause before resuming normal use.

A reset may clear the error code temporarily, but if the underlying problem has not been fixed, the error will return as soon as the washer attempts another fill cycle. To permanently clear the error, the root cause, whether a supply issue, faulty valve, defective pressure switch, or siphoning condition, must be corrected first. Resetting without repair is not a solution.

Several of the most common causes are DIY-friendly. Start by verifying that both water supply valves are fully open and that the supply hoses are not kinked. Inspect the pressure switch hose for cracks or blockages and make sure the drain hose is installed at the correct height to prevent siphoning. If these checks do not resolve the error, testing the inlet valve screens and the pressure switch itself requires basic electrical testing skills and a multimeter.
