If you are comfortable working around appliance electronics and unplugging the machine before opening the cabinet, checking and reseating connectors is a reasonable DIY step. However, if the harness is damaged or either module needs replacement, that work is better suited to a qualified technician given the electrical complexity involved. Always disconnect power before accessing internal components.
