High Current Error

High Current Error - electrical current within the machine is higher than normal, possibly caused by heater and motor being on simultaneously, faulty wiring/shorts, or a welded relay.

From Tech Sheet W16260668, p.40:

1.Check for faulty wiring (shorts) or a welded relay. Could also be caused by line current surges seen by the current sensor.

2.Measure the heating element resistance across the terminals with the leads removed. Expected: 11 to 13 ohms.

3.Verify the thermal fuse and high-limit thermostat show continuity. An open safety in series with the element produces a no-heat fault even when the element tests good.
