The control board triggers this error when the pressure switch has not tripped after the inlet valves have been open for 8 minutes, or after 10.5 gallons have passed through the flow sensor without a confirmed fill. The washer stops the cycle to alert you to the problem. Common causes include closed supply valves, clogged inlet screens, or a faulty inlet valve or pressure switch.

Resetting the washer by unplugging it for a minute or cycling the power may temporarily clear the F/H code, but the error will return if the underlying problem has not been corrected. The code is triggered by a real fill failure, so a reset without a repair is only a short-term workaround. Address the root cause first, then restart the cycle.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. Cleaning clogged inlet screens is essentially free, while replacing an inlet hose typically costs between $10 and $30 for parts. A new water inlet valve generally runs between $25 and $75 for the part, and a replacement pressure switch is usually in the $15 to $50 range.
