T-02 is a slow heating fault indicating that the washer's water temperature is rising more slowly than the control board expects during a heated wash or steam cycle. The washer monitors the rate of temperature increase through a sensor and logs this code when that rate falls below the required threshold. It points to a problem in the electric heating element, the steam supply system, or the temperature sensing circuit. The washer may still complete cycles, but wash performance at heated settings will be compromised.

The washer is generally safe to operate with a T-02 code in the sense that it will not cause immediate damage, but wash quality at heated settings will be reduced because the water is not reaching the intended temperature. If the fault is related to an electrical wiring issue, it is better to diagnose and repair it promptly before continuing regular use.

A reset may temporarily clear the T-02 code, but if the underlying heating problem is not repaired, the code will return as soon as the washer runs a heated cycle and detects the same slow-heating condition.
