Error code 94E on a Samsung refrigerator indicates a water supply error for the sparkling water tank, specifically an open circuit detected by the sparkling tank water level sensor. The fault can originate from sensor housing separation, a loose or corroded connector, a broken wire in the harness, or a short circuit. The sparkling water feature will be disabled while this error is active. Standard refrigeration and non-sparkling water dispensing are typically not affected.

The 94E error is not a safety hazard in most cases. It indicates a fault in the sparkling water system, which operates separately from the main refrigeration circuit. However, if a short circuit is present in the wiring, it is good practice to have a technician inspect the harness promptly to prevent any potential damage to the control board.

A power reset may temporarily clear the 94E error code from the display, but it will not resolve the underlying fault. If the sensor circuit issue is still present after the reset, the code will return. A proper repair of the sensor, wiring harness, or connector is required to permanently clear the error.

Start by checking the voltage at connector CN31 on the ASSY PCB KIT, measuring from pin 1 to pin 2. The voltage should read over 4.5V. If it does not, inspect the sensor connector at both ends for loose pins, corrosion, or disconnection, and trace the wiring harness for any breaks or shorts. If the wiring and connectors are intact, the sparkling tank water level sensor itself likely needs replacement.
