The refrigerator will not maintain proper cooling temperatures while this fault is active.

A Starting Failure means the compressor is not running, so the refrigerator will not cool food to safe temperatures. Perishable items should be moved to another refrigerator or cooler until the fault is resolved. Continuing to attempt operation without addressing the fault will not damage additional components, but food safety is a concern with any extended loss of cooling.
