Samsung Washer Error Code 11C

The 11C code on a Samsung washer indicates a water level sensor error on the upper washer unit. The sensor is unable to accurately detect the water level inside the drum. Common causes include a damaged, clogged, or folded sensor hose, an improperly connected hose, loose terminal connections, or a fault in the main control board.

A reset may temporarily clear the 11C code, but it will return if the underlying problem is not corrected. The error is caused by a hardware or wiring issue, such as a blocked hose or a faulty sensor, that a reset cannot fix. Address the root cause before running another cycle.

If the issue is just a kinked or unseated hose, the repair may cost nothing beyond your time. Replacing the water level sensor typically runs in the range of $25 to $80 for the part, plus labor if a technician is involved. A main PBA replacement is more expensive, generally ranging from $150 to $350 or more depending on the model and labor costs in your area.

Start by checking the water level sensor terminal connections and making sure all connectors are fully seated and free of corrosion. Then inspect the pressure hose connected to the sensor for kinks, folds, clogs, or loose fittings at either end. If the hose and connections are in good shape, the water level sensor or main PBA may need to be tested and replaced.

It is not recommended to continue using the washer while the 11C error is active. Because the machine cannot accurately measure water level, it may overfill or underfill, which can lead to leaks, poor wash performance, or additional component damage. Diagnose and resolve the fault before resuming normal use.
