A power reset may temporarily clear the error code, but if the underlying fault in the MEMS PBA or its wiring is still present, the code will return once the washer attempts to run a cycle. Resetting is useful for ruling out a one-time glitch, but a persistent 18C2 code requires hands-on diagnosis of the wiring and the board itself.

If the fix is simply reseating a loose connector, there may be no parts cost involved, though a service call from a technician typically runs in the range of $75 to $150 for labor. If the MEMS PBA itself needs replacement, parts costs can add another $50 to $200 or more depending on availability, bringing total repair costs to a range of $125 to $350 in most cases.
