Samsung Washer Error Code 2E

The 2E code on a Samsung washer indicates a power supply error. It is triggered when the machine detects under-voltage, over-voltage, or a momentary voltage drop of up to 10V during operation. Using an extension cord or having an inadequate wall outlet are the most common causes. In some cases, the Main PBA itself may be faulty and generating the code even when supply voltage is normal.

A reset may temporarily clear the 2E code, but if the underlying power supply issue is not corrected, the error will return. Disconnect the washer from power for a few minutes to reset it, then address the root cause such as removing the extension cord or having the outlet inspected before running a cycle again.

If the fix is simply removing an extension cord or correcting the outlet connection, there is no parts cost involved. If the wall receptacle needs replacement, electrical repair costs typically range from $75 to $200 depending on the work required. A Main PBA replacement, if that is the root cause, generally falls in the range of $150 to $400 or more including parts and labor.

Start by unplugging any extension cord and connecting the washer directly to a dedicated wall outlet. Next, check that the outlet is providing the correct operating voltage using a multimeter. If the supply voltage is confirmed stable and the direct-plug connection does not clear the code, the Main PBA may need to be inspected or replaced by a qualified technician.

You should not continue running the washer until the power issue is resolved. Sustained under-voltage or voltage instability can stress electrical components inside the machine and may worsen existing faults. Correct the supply voltage problem or remove the extension cord before operating the washer again.
