The machine expects to see measurable changes in pressure or sensor frequency as water enters the drum. When those changes do not occur within the time limit, the washer halts the cycle and displays the error. It is the machine's way of alerting you that water is not reaching the drum as expected.

The washer locks itself out when this error occurs, so it will not continue running a cycle with insufficient water. This protects the motor and other components from damage. You should not attempt to bypass the error or force the machine to run without resolving the water supply issue, as running a cycle dry can cause serious mechanical damage.

Many of the most common causes are accessible to a careful DIYer. Start by confirming both supply valves are fully open, then inspect the hoses for kinks and check the inlet valve screens for clogs. If those steps do not resolve the issue, testing the inlet valve solenoid and pressure sensor requires a multimeter and some familiarity with appliance wiring. Pressing the Power button is the only button that responds when this error is active, and it will reset the display. However, it does not fix the underlying problem. If the cause of the water supply failure is not corrected first, the error will return as soon as you start a new cycle and the machine attempts to fill again.
