The 7-0 code means the control board has detected that the flow meter is either disconnected or damaged. The flow meter tracks how much water enters the dishwasher during fill cycles using an internal switch. When the board loses that signal, it triggers the 7-0 fault to prevent the machine from overfilling or running without adequate water.

A reset may temporarily clear the code, but it will return if the underlying problem with the flow meter or its wiring has not been corrected. The control board will re-detect the fault as soon as it checks the flow meter signal during the next cycle. A proper repair is needed to resolve the code permanently.

If the fix is simply reseating a loose connector, there may be no parts cost at all, though a service call from a technician would still carry a labor fee typically ranging from $75 to $150. If the flow meter itself needs to be replaced, parts and labor combined generally fall in the range of $100 to $250 depending on your location and the specific model. A control board replacement, if required, would be at the higher end of repair costs.

Start by disconnecting power to the dishwasher before doing anything else. Check the wiring connectors at the flow meter and salt level sensor, and reseat any that are loose. Use a multimeter to test the flow meter switch for continuity. If the switch does not close as expected, the flow meter will need to be replaced.

It is not recommended to continue running the dishwasher while this fault is active. Without an accurate reading from the flow meter, the control board cannot properly regulate water fill levels, which could result in underfilling or overfilling.
