A reset may temporarily clear the code from the display, but the error will return if the underlying issue is not resolved. The control module checks for the presence of the diverter disc during operation, so if the disc is still missing or unseated, F9E3 will be generated again. The disc must be physically installed and correctly positioned to permanently clear the fault.
