When the fault is detected, the dishwasher stops the cycle and resets. On some displays, this code may appear as i5H due to how the 7-segment display renders the letter 'B'.

The dishwasher does automatically stop and reset when i5B is triggered, and the error may not reappear immediately after a power reset if the fault was intermittent. However, if the underlying cause, such as a blocked pump or failing motor, is still present, the code will return during the next cycle. A reset alone is not a fix.

Repair costs vary depending on the root cause. Clearing a blocked pump impeller yourself costs nothing beyond your time.
