The iE0 code means the flow diverter, the component that directs water between different spray arm levels, did not reach its commanded position within the allowed time. The control board waits up to 12 seconds if no movement is detected or the position sensor appears shorted, and up to approximately 110 seconds if the diverter is moving but cannot find the target position. While this fault is active, the dishwasher heater is turned off automatically.

The dishwasher disables its heater while the iE0 alarm is active, which means wash temperatures and drying performance will be reduced. The appliance is not in an immediately dangerous condition, but dishes will not be cleaned or sanitized properly at lower temperatures. It is best to diagnose and correct the fault before continuing regular use.

A power reset may temporarily clear the iE0 code, and the control board is designed to retry the diverter at each new position request rather than locking out permanently. However, if the underlying mechanical or electrical fault remains, the error will return as soon as the diverter is commanded to move again. A reset is a useful first step to confirm whether the fault is intermittent, but it is not a fix.

Some causes of the iE0 error are DIY-friendly. Removing the lower spray arm and clearing any debris from the diverter housing requires no special tools and no parts. If the problem is a faulty motor, position sensor, or wiring, those repairs involve disconnecting electrical components and are best handled by a technician familiar with dishwasher service procedures.
