E:24 indicates that the dishwasher has detected a drain failure. The machine attempted to pump water out of the tub but could not complete the process within the expected time. This points to a blockage or restriction somewhere in the drain path, including the drain hose, pump, backflow valve, or the household drain connection.

A reset may temporarily clear the code from the display, but the error will return if the underlying drain blockage has not been resolved. The control board triggers E:24 based on actual water level detection, so the code will reappear on the next drain cycle until the physical obstruction is removed.

If the cause is a simple blockage in the hose or pump, the repair may cost nothing beyond your time.
