Door open fault

Door open fault — door is open when cycle starts, wiring issue, or door switch failure.

First step from the service manual

Close the door firmly and re-start the dryer. If the error still exists, check the door switch, wiring (connectors for J2_1, Door Switch-COM and NO). If no problems found, replace the electronic control board.

From Service Manual 889186, p.38:

1.Close the door firmly and re-start the dryer. If the error still exists, check the door switch, wiring (connectors for J2_1, Door Switch-COM and NO). If no problems found, replace the electronic control board.

2.Measure door lock assembly resistance across the PTC terminals. Expected: ~200 ohms cold, rising sharply once energized.

3.Inspect strike and latch alignment. A warped door or misaligned strike prevents the switch stack from closing in the correct sequence.
